Avoid hidden subscriptions

If you order a trial pack of e.g. a dietary supplement or pet food, you risk being bound by a subscription agreement without knowing it. Learn more about your rights if you order a trial pack or receive an invoice for a subscription you did not order.

The internet is full of offers of free trial packs of e.g. slimming tablets, skincare products and dietary supplements. If you agree to receive a trial pack, you may sometimes find that you have automatically been registered as a subscriber.

You can cancel the agreement

As a main rule, you have a 14-day cooling-off period if the agreement was concluded online.

It is the seller who must prove that you have concluded the agreement. You are bound by a subscription agreement only if it is stated clearly that you are taking out a subscription that costs money.

It must be stated clearly in connection with the ordering process if you are taking out a subscription when you order a trial pack via a website. If it is not stated clearly that you are undertaking an obligation to pay, you are not bound by the agreement.
