The internet is full of offers of free trial packs of e.g. slimming tablets, skincare products and dietary supplements. If you agree to receive a trial pack, you may sometimes find that you have automatically been registered as a subscriber.
You can cancel the agreement
As a main rule, you have a 14-day cooling-off period if the agreement was concluded online.
It is the seller who must prove that you have concluded the agreement. You are bound by a subscription agreement only if it is stated clearly that you are taking out a subscription that costs money.
It must be stated clearly in connection with the ordering process if you are taking out a subscription when you order a trial pack via a website. If it is not stated clearly that you are undertaking an obligation to pay, you are not bound by the agreement.

Do not pay for an unwanted package
You do not have any obligation to pay if you later receive an invoice for something that you did not order. You should contact the seller in writing and point out that you did not order the product in question.

Getting help in connection with a complaint
If you have concluded a subscription agreement without being aware of it or you have received a package or an invoice for a package that you did not order, and you cannot find a solution with the seller, you can complain to European Consumer Centre Denmark.
- Before ordering, check whether you will be registered as a member/subscriber
- Check whether you have an obligation to receive other packages before you can cancel your membership/subscription
- Keep a copy of the advertisement
- Make a complaint to the seller if you receive a product or an invoice for a product you did not order
