Subscription Traps in Europe

EU study into public experiences of subscription traps in in six countries.

European consumers are increasingly exposed to intrusive and misleading ads online. This is an international problem that has drawn attention at EU-level and amongst authorities and consumer authorities. 

ECC-Net have carried out a joint project on subscription traps during 2017, to investigate how much consumers know about their rights and the prevalence of subscription traps online, and to carry out a number of informational campaigns.
