Always contact the vendor first
- If you discover a defect or deficiency in a product you have purchased, always contact the vendor.
- Send a letter, a fax or an e-mail and explain your reasons for complaining.
- Send copies of the receipt of purchase, warranty or similar evidence and ask what the vendor intends to do to rectify the problem.
- Request a response within a set period of time, for instance two weeks. For the sake of evidence, it is important that you file your complaint in writing.
