It is sometimes possible to save a lot of money by travelling to another European country for dental treatment.

However, price is not the only aspect you should consider before deciding to seek treatment from a dentist in another EU country, which in the following also includes Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein. For instance, it is not always easy to bring a complaint against a European dentist, and you should bear in mind possible follow-up visits, which can be costly in extra travel activity.

Before making an appointment with a dentist in another European country, it is therefore a good idea to look into whether you have to pay for the procedure yourself or if there are any reimbursement possibilities as well as what your complaints options are.
