If you have been cheated

Subpage

If a product bought by you turns out, contrary to expectation, to be a copy, your rights will depend on what you were promised in connection with the purchase and the circumstances under which the agreement was made.

Gå til indhold

If you bought the product on the street or a market and the price was very low you cannot normally expect the product to be original no matter how accurate the copy is.

If, on the other hand, the product was bought in a shop or on the Internet and you rightly expected the product to be an original product or you were directly promised this you may cancel the purchase and demand repayment of your money. This applies no matter whether you have traded with a trader or a private individual.

If you do not receive the product you have ordered and you have paid by a Danish credit card you may have the money repaid into your account through your bank.

If you are uncertain about your rights or your possibilities or if you cannot reach a solution with the seller you are always welcome to contact the European Consumer Centre.

We will review your case and in cooperation with our European sister offices examine what possibilities you have. You are always welcome to contact us by telephone, email or letter if you need help or good advice. Our advisory services are free of charge.
