Complaints about bargain goods

The right of complaint applies to all types of goods. A seller cannot exempt a whole group of goods, for example seconds or bargain merchandise, by making a general reservation.

However, you cannot complain about a defect which was the reason why the price was reduced, for example a stain on a bag or a hole in a pair of trousers and you were made aware of the defect before the purchase.

Thus, the right of complaint only applies to defects of which you were not made aware at the time of purchase at the latest.
